Soto was booked on August Ten, 2017, for a misdemeanor battery warrant and he was classified as a mental health inmate. Employees misidentified Soto as another inmate who was scheduled to be released on August 30. Soto was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center – Behavioral Health in Colton by a deputy for services.

CalFire Battalion Chief John Toon, who serves as Highland’s fire chief, reports Highland Fire Department assisted County fire Department in battling the blaze, which burned about six acres. The cause is under investigation.
On Sunday, August 13, 2017, at about 8:45 am, deputies from the Highland Police Department responded to the seven thousand seven hundred block of McKinley Street following the report of a masculine victim down in the driveway of the apartment complicated. A car chased by San Bernardino Police crashed into a drainage overcrossing Friday afternoon. Fire and ambulance services responded, but the driver leaped out and ran, evidently not in need of medical assistance. Police say the driver ran west from the location on Tippecanoe Avenue just north of Third Street.
A motorcycle rider is treated for serious injuries after his motorcycle rearended a black sedan (shown in the right rear of photo) at about Three:30 p.m. Thursday, July 13. The sedan had little harm, but the motorcycle lost the rider, who landed several feet north of the motorcycle, which burst into flames on Sterling Avenue, just north of Pacific Street. The crash occurred in the city of San Bernardino, just north of the Highland border. The motorcyckle rider was transportd for tratment. The Highland Fire Department responded, along with the San Bernardino Police Department.
On July Five, 2017, at 8:56 a.m.,deputies responded to a vehicle burglary which occurred in Highland. The victim discovered his vehicle had been burglarized and his wallet was stolen.
Joshua Tree, CA – Representative Cook has not communicated with his constituents about the Trump Administration’s Executive Order to review select national monuments. Despite his lack of a public statement, Rep. Cook voiced his position in a letter to Department of the Interior Secretary Zinke, encouraging that the Mojave Trails National Monument be diminished in size. (Copy of the letter can be found here.)
The victim contacted Highland police and reported his residence was violated into while he was away, sometime inbetween June twenty nine and July Three, and several items were stolen. Through his own investigation, the victim found his stolen computer being sold on Suggest Up.

During the investigation, it was determined that a green Ford Expedition and a crimson Kia Sportage were involved in a collision just west of the intersection on Base Line.

On Tuesday, Sept. Five, 2017, at approximately Trio:21 a.m., Deputy Ramstad was patrolling in the area of Greenspot Road and Boulder Avenue when he observed the suspect wearing all black clothing and a mask covering half of his face, stashing near a business in the area and made contact with him.

A suspected carjacker didn’t get far after he ran afoul of Automatic License Plate Readers in Highland.On Friday, Aug. Legitimate, 2017, at 1:05 p.m., Highland deputies located a stolen vehicle being driven near the intersection of 9th Street and Sterling Avenue, in Highland.
On Thursday, Aug. 17, two thousand seventeen at Five:56 p.m. Highland deputies were dispatched to the seven thousand block of Victoria Avenue after receiving a nine hundred eleven call of an brunt in progress. The caller said a man was striking a woman and several witnesses observed the suspect hammering the victim in the face and head.
A woman is loaded into an ambulance following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Boulder Avenue and Atlantic Avenue on Friday, Aug. Legal. The woman’s car was disabled when it hit another vehicle at the intersection, but the 2nd vehicle left the scene.

A grey Honda Accord, believed to be driven by Demitrus Garcia,28, of Loma Linda was also traveling west on Base Line and made an unsafe lane switch and collided into the passenger side of the semi -truck.
On Saturday, Aug. 12, at 9:17 p.m., fire was reported in a drainage ditch in the two thousand six hundred block of Rockford in San Bernardino. CalFire Battalion Chief John Toon, who serves as Highland’s fire chief, reports Highland Fire Department assisted County fire Department in battling the blaze, which burned about six acres. The cause is under investigation.
On Sunday, August 13, 2017, at about 8:45 am, deputies from the Highland Police Department responded to the seven thousand seven hundred block of McKinley Street following the report of a masculine victim down in the driveway of the apartment elaborate. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, Jamie Hawkins, 20, of San Bernardino, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel responded to the location and transported the victim to a local area hospital.

A 23-year-old Yucaipa man was charged today with several felony counts of arson in connection with numerous fires that burned over nine hundred acres and earnestly injured one firefighter.

The Department of Justice’s Public Safety Partnership program was known under the prior administration as the Violence Reduction Network (VRN). A dead crow collected in the city of Yucaipa has tested positive for West Nile Virus. This is the very first dead bird that has tested positive for West Nile Virus in two thousand seventeen in the Yucaipa area. When a dead bird tests positive for West Nile Virus it means people are at a higher risk of being infected with the disease if bitten by a mosquito.

A car chased by San Bernardino Police crashed into a drainage overcrossing Friday afternoon. Fire and ambulance services responded, but the driver hopped out and ran, evidently not in need of medical assistance. Police say the driver ran west from the location on Tippecanoe Avenue just north of Third Street.
A motorcycle rider is treated for serious injuries after his motorcycle rearended a black sedan (shown in the right rear of photo) at about Three:30 p.m. Thursday, July 13. The sedan had little harm, but the motorcycle lost the rider, who landed several feet north of the motorcycle, which burst into flames on Sterling Avenue, just north of Pacific Street. The crash occurred in the city of San Bernardino, just north of the Highland border. The motorcyckle rider was transportd for tratment. The Highland Fire Department responded, along with the San Bernardino Police Department.
On July Five, 2017, at 8:56 a.m.,deputies responded to a vehicle burglary which occurred in Highland. The victim discovered his vehicle had been burglarized and his wallet was stolen.
Joshua Tree, CA – Representative Cook has not communicated with his constituents about the Trump Administration’s Executive Order to review select national monuments. Despite his lack of a public statement, Rep. The victim contacted Highland police and reported his residence was violated into while he was away, sometime inbetween June twenty nine and July Three, and several items were stolen. Through his own investigation, the victim found his stolen computer being sold on Suggest Up.
On July 9, 2017, at approximately Ten:30 p.m., Highland deputies responded to a traffic collision near the intersection of Base Line and Victoria Avenue. During the investigation, it was determined that a green Ford Expedition and a crimson Kia Sportage were involved in a collision just west of the intersection on Base Line.
